Los Alamos MainStreet News:

Halloweekend returns to haunt Los Alamos Oct. 25-26, with Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet kicking off festivities 4-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.

Main Street and Central Avenue from 15th to 20th streets are closed to auto traffic and become a safe pedestrian area where local businesses and organizations distribute candy to costumed families.

ALBUQUERQUE Polyphony: Voices of New Mexico will stage, in a public setting, a reconstruction of Talls’ monumental 40-part Renaissance motet, Spem in Alium, written in 1570 for eight choirs of five voices each.
 
Arguably the greatest work of Renaissance choral music by an English composer, Spem in Alium was Tallis’ crowning achievement.
 
This project is supported by a grant from New Mexico Arts.
 
Date: Saturday, Nov. 23 at Cathedral of St. John, 318 Silver Ave. SW in Albuquerque.

The Sangre de Cristo Chorale will present its fall concert Heavenly Home at 4 p.m. Oct. 19 at St. Bede’s Episcopal Church in Santa Fe and at 4 p.m. Oct. 20 at the United Church of Los Alamos.

The Sangre de Cristo Chorale also will perform Heavenly Home at 3 p.m. Oct. 27 during the Bosetti Concert Series at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Denver.
