Los Alamos Daily Post newshound Tyrone Nigel Clark celebrates his 11th birthday today. Weighing in at a svelte 6 pounds, 3 ounces and standing all of 9 inches tall, this furry cub reporter keeps his ear close to the ground and proves time and again to be incredibly adept at sniffing out those low lying stories. Triatomics News:

The Los Alamos Triatomics Multisports Club ( www.facebook.com/triatomics) invites athletes to participate in the annual Splash n Dash series (swim+run) starting Wednesday May 29. 

This year, the club is hosting six Splash n Dash events continuing past the Los Alamos Triathlon. The additional dates for Splash n Dash events are June 12, June 26, July 10, July 24 and Aug.

Traffic Alert: Two Vehicle Crash At Trinity Drive & Central Avenue Along Construction Zone

Traffic Alert:

Los Alamos Police report a two-vehicle crash with unknown injuries has occurred in the construction zone near the Trinity Drive and Central Avenue area.

Eastbound traffic on Trinity Drive is down to one lane. There is no westbound traffic on Trinity Drive at this time … ALL westbound traffic is being diverted onto Central Avenue.

Motorists are urged to proceed with extreme caution and if at all possible to avoid the area altogether and seek alternate routes.
