County Sells 1010 Central To LAPS Credit Union

The Los Alamos Public Schools Credit Union is getting a new home – right next to the Los Alamos County Municipal Building.

Los Alamos County Council unanimously approved the sale of 1010 Central Ave., a stretch of green space that runs along the parking lot in front of the Municipal Building, during its regular Tuesday night meeting.

SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham is accepting applications for a certified public accountant for the state Gaming Control Board.
 
The full-time, paid position has been vacant for some time.
 
The New Mexico Gaming Control Board is responsible for regulating legalized gaming at New Mexico’s licensed racetracks, veteran and fraternal organizations. In addition, the agency is responsible for investigating and enforcing violations of the laws and regulations that prohibit illegal gambling activities in the state, and monitoring New Mexico’s tribal gaming compacts.

ALBUQUERQUE -- In response to the Albuquerque Police Department’s request for assistance with traffic enforcement on the interstate, the New Mexico State Police will start conducting targeted operations on Interstate 25 and Interstate 40 in Bernalillo County.

Monday, Jan. 13, officers will be visible on the highways during peak traffic hours and will take proactive measures to reduce crashes, aggressive driving and driver inattention.

SANTA FE — The Legislative Finance Committee unveiled its FY 2021 budget proposal Tuesday, which included $500,000 critical to helping the Human Services Department “prepare to implement affordable health coverage options” for New Mexicans.
